IWA Flashfire ( An R.W.N. based in North East Ga & S.C.) held its annual FIGHTMARE on Oct 15 check out these results:
Another great show is in the books as there were some surprises as promised. If you missed this one, you had to be lost or your automobile was not running. Too bad, cause it was great.
Matt Cross vs Jason Storm vs Scott Davis
The first match was the "PURE" Wrestling Match, a three way between three guys who traveled a long distance to get there. This match was very well wrestled and if you like clean skilled wrestling, these boys did the job. Only thing is, I believe Lavonia is not a clean wrestling town as the crowd was a little unenthused at what they saw. They deserved to be appreciated more. The winner of this match was Jason Storm.
X'ion of Gothic Herritage vs Disorderly Phillip Pain
The second match was a Dark Sided match. This match went back and forth for a few minutes but in the end Phillip Pain showed everyone he hadn't forgot how to win a match.
Infamous D vs. Crash Hollywood
The third match was brought to you by the FWF. D outlasted Hollywood when Leatherface came to the ring and choke slamed him. He then rolled Infamous D over for the pin and got the Referee's attention after being knocked out accidently.
"The Posse":Sly Storm, Matt Sells and JT Chase vs. "The Outlaws": Big Country, El Draco w/El Gato and Redneck Bubba Hogg Jr
The fourth match was a Hardcore Six-man match. This was a heck of a match. This was evidently a wild match and the crowd was really into it. As these boys wasted little time in going real hard on eachother. Trash cans, metal pans, hockey stick, table and anything one could get a hold of as the blood flowed, black eyes and sores were shared by most in action. In the end the "Outlaws" won the match.
We had a visit from Beautiful Bart but he got jumped by Merciless Don Matthews and the Tower, Jason Swords as they came out for an interview. They talked about how they were now best friends but tonight they were scheduled to face eachother for the IWA:FF Heavyweight Championship. They decided they would go at it any way they had to to win the match. Merciless Don Matthews being the Heavyweight Champion and Tower being the U.S. Champion, only the Heavyweight title was on the line.
Then the War Machines came out to the ring. Johnny Love led Tank and Diamond out to the ring. Tank made it plain that his partner was not in the house but he and Diamond would still take on the Brimstone Soldiers as planned. Bradford D. Bates was running the show since General Manager, Randall Jones, had auto trouble and had not arrived. He being Diamond's husband qickly refused to allow it. But Diamond, being Tank's daughter, said she would stick by her dad. Finally Bradford said he would allow it only if there was another wrestler that would help and the Soldiers were able to find a third man as well. Agreed as the music blasted and Lance Christopher came out to the ring. He said his partner the "Rocket" had not arrived for the Tag-team Championship so he would volenteer to go out with the War Machines. This too was agreed and we went to Intermission.
Brimstone Soldiers: Corp Knight, Sgt. Grimm andJustin Case vs War Machines and Lance Christopher
The match went very well as I was as surprised as anybody when Diamond got out there and put a hurting on Sgt. Grimm. It got wild for a while as Christopher went at it good also and Justin Case was too. But Daddy's little girl made her Daddy proud as she stood up to the traders sporting the Iraci flag. Finally the War Machines won the match. But it wasn't over yet. Sgt Grimm jumped Diamond from behind and rapped the flag around her neck choking her and Tank was jumped by Corp. Knight. Christopher and Case were fighting on the floor so Love headed for the back to get help. Out came Bates with a chair and several others. They quickly settled the score and Tank took to the mic and challenged the Brimstone Soldiers to a match next week in Hartwell, Ga.
Champions:"Stateline" vs. Jordan and Boulevard vs. the Rednecks: Billy Starr and Panhead Nelson
It was a three way tag title match was very tough as all three teams took advantage of every powerful move. Boulevard looked like he received the blunt of the battle as he was stuck in the ring as everyone but Jordan took shots at him. Jordan was trying to keep a contact in his eye and could not come in to help as Boulevard was pinned and "Stateline", retained their championship. I understand the Rednecks were still battling with Boulevard and Jordan in the back although the match was over.
The IWA:FF Corpse vs. FWF Champion: Leatherface
The Halloween Horror Match between the IWA:FF Corpse, who appears every year at this time, and Leatherface, the FWF Heavyweight Champion with his Dark Side help and a roaring chainsaw.
No don't even think it, it wasn't Chainsaw Charley. He's way too old to face the Corpse. Another good battle but both men were counted out in the end. I say "the end" but both vowed to meet again.
IWA FF Champ: Don Matthews vs. The Tower
The first Main Event was between two friends, two fowes, two Champions, two partners, too real as these two nearly killed eachother with terrific power moves, chairs, tacks, barbed wire and anything they could get their hands on. Tower was beaten as he lost much blood from his head. Mercilees was also bleeding but he was able to retain his Heavyweight Championship. In the end they were still friends, still Champions and on to other places. A good fight but too rough for most men.
Casey J. vs Crazii Shea
Now it was time for the Ladder and Scaffold Match. The last fight between Casey J. and Crazii Shea. Now get this, the scaffold was 18 ft. tall. The first to get finshers from the tallest ladder, 10', and the scaffold would be the winner. Well the moves were done and Casey J. was bleeding from his head when it was over. he was transported to the ER after the match and Crazii Shea climbed the ladder in Rankings and headed to the Waffle House and a 10 hour drive home in Baltimore, Maryland, where he had to check in upon arrival.
Another year of FIGHTMARE with a great show. Be sure to come to the next show, "Rumors of War", October 22nd in Hartwell, Georgia. This one will be at the Armory on Fairview behind the Burger King on hwy. 29. You never know who you will see next at an IWA:FF show!!!
