Former World Champion Sid Vicious is set to return to the WWE after being on the sidelines for the past few years. WWE has sent out feelers to Sid since he has been working frequently on the independent circuit with Jerry Lawler. Lawler has pushed for Sid to return as WWE is currently lacking major star power. Sid seems to be interested but wants to fill out his signed dates so far. Look for Sid to return by Survivor Series.

Sid Vicious is expected to have a meeting with Vince this Monday before Raw goes on the air. No word on what role Sid would have if he does return. Jerry Lawler has been pushing for Sid's return for a while now. Vince and Sid are on good terms but wanted to wait to bring him back in the right situation. Originally there were talks of Sid teaming with Snitsky until he was released. Now they are talking about teaming him with Mike Knox to help get him over. Vince feels Knox has the potential but needs someone to help bring him to the next level and Jerry suggested Sid would be the man to do it. JR has rumored to be big on the idea of Sid & Knox teaming up as they would be a huge force in the lost tag team division.
There is also talks of him being C.M. Punk's bodyguard. The Creative plans on turning Punk heel in the very near future and plans on bringing some back up with him when he cashes in the money in the bank briefcase.
