Match #1
Amien Rios vs. Jonathan Davis
A couple of weeks ago these two men were part of a match that was one of the best matches in 2006 and once again they showed the crowd that they were for real. Rios started to work on Davis’ arm, but Davis was able to hit an armdrag and starts to take control. Later Jonathan reversed a hiptoss into an armdrag and then quickly hit a dropkick after ducking a clothesline. Rios started to fight back with a knee to the gut. Then he slammed Jonathan down and hit a leg drop for a 2 count. A short time later, Davis hits Rios with a spinning back kick. A few seconds later he hits a sidekick a short time later Amien regained control and was able to hit a pinning powerbomb, but only for a 2 count. Later in the match, Rios puts Davis on the top turnbuckle and it looked like he was going to suplex him, but Davis fought out of it and nailed a huge powerbomb from the turnbuckle. A short time later Amien went to the outside and it looked like Jonathan was going to crash and burn with a over the top rope plancha. But Jonathan was able to stop himself and then from the apron hits Amien with a headscissors takeover. The end came for Rios when Davis was able to reverse a powerslam attempt into a schoolboy for the victory. Winner: Jonathan Davis
The CEO of Michaels, Inc came out for an interview. He talked about his match with Beach and how fans were calling him with well wishes and the fans were offended by Scotty’s actions. And to show their disgust with Scotty, Quentin was going let three fans voice their opinion about Scotty. Apparently either the fans or Michaels can’t count, because somehow 4 fans got into the ring, some kid, some teenage girl, some military guy and some guy in a lei named Luke. I don’t know what the girl said, the kid said that Michaels should have won, the military guy said that the ref was giving Michaels a slow count the entire match and then did a backflip off the ring apron as he was leaving. Now Luke was the interesting person. He told Quentin that Quentin got exactly what he deserved. Michaels then attacked Luke and out comes Scotty Beach. Quentin leaves the ring and as Scotty starts yelling at him, Luke attacks Scotty from behind and is escorted out of the building.
Match #2
Danny Inferno vs. David Young w/ Daffney
Before the match began Danny gets on the mic and says that he isn’t done with Tommy Rich. He then said that he has an open invite for Rich to face him anytime. Out come David and Daffney, and I must say, we love the way Daffney gets into the ring. She is um, very flexible. Young gets the first bit of offense in and begins working on the arm. Later Danny is able to get out of his predicament but instead of going after David, he went outside and started to gyrate towards Daffney. Young then comes out and holds Inferno while Daffney slapped him. They get back into the ring and Danny is begging David not to do anymore. While Randy Ray was keeping Young back, Daffney pulled Inferno crotch first into the steel pole. But later in the match, Danny turned the tables by pulling David down to the mat by his tights. Later he did a knee drop to Young’s head and soon followed that up with a clothesline. After a suplex, Danny went for a pin but only got a 2 count. Soon though Young got the momentum back when he blocked Inferno’s turnbuckle smash. He then nailed Danny with several clotheslines, and after a 2 count, followed up with a backbody drop. But Inferno ends up losing the match by DQ because he tossed Young over the top rope. Winner: David Young
After the match, David said that he didn’t come here to win by DQ and that if Danny had any guts he would give him 5 more minutes. But as Young entered the ring, Inferno left and got the mic. Danny said screw David, screw Tommy Rich and screw GCW.
Next came an interview with John Bogie. Bogie a few weeks ago got a concussion as his head met a steel guardrail thanks to DeathRow. John was accompanying Mike LaFlors in Mike’s match with DeathRow a few weeks ago. When Billy Roper asked Bogie how the head injury was, Bogie said that he didn’t have a head injury and that he was in the best shape of his life. And he they went on to say that 1985 will be the year of John Bogie and that he has an idea that will make him and Roper millions. He is going to mix rock and roll and wrestling. John then introduced his new manager, a woman named Debra. Then Bogie said that he is going places in 1995, and Roper reminded him about the 1985 thing. John then claimed that he said 1985.
Match #3
DeathRow vs. Mike LaFlors
This was a rematch between these two and to say that DeathRow dominated this match would be a complete understatement. From the behind the back attack to the end, DeathRow was beating LaFlors down like he stoled something. Now Mike did get a couple of forearms in, but they really didn’t phase DeathRow any. DeathRow showed his power throughout the match, hitting clotheslines, including one where he used a clothesline to counter a hiptoss attempt. DeathRow finally ended the squash match with a suplex slam pin. Winner: DeathRow
Match #4
GCW Columbus Heavyweight Title Match
Bobby Sanford © vs. Chris Stevens w/Quentin Michaels and Cru Jones
This match was dedicated from Bobby to the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. Jones told us that his knee is 70%, but that the camera still loves him. Well anyways onto the action. In the first few seconds of the match, you could tell that these two were former tag team partners as they were countering each other for the first couple of minutes of the match. Then Bobby was able to whip Chris into the ropes and hit a back elbow. He then kicked Stevens out of the ring and it looked like Stevens was out, but Sanford went out and threw him back into the ring. But soon Chris started to change the momentum when he countered Bobby’s leapfrog into a spinebuster. Short time later, with Sanford sitting on his rear, Stevens hits the clotheslines and then drives a knee into the back. Chris got two quick pinfall attempts, but only got a two count each time. Later Stevens puts Sanford in a claw hold and nearly got a 3 count and it was around this time that Jones got a steel chair and kept it out of the referee’s sight. Bobby tried to fight back, hitting a dropsault, but he ended up missing a corner splash. So while Stevens had the referee distracted, Jones wrapped Sanford’s leg around the ringpost and nailed it with the chair. Chris then puts Bobby into figure 4 and Bobby tried to fight it, but finally just passed out because of the pain. Chris got the 3 count and became the new GCW Columbus Heavyweight Champion. Winner and New Columbus Heavyweight champion: Chris Stevens
After the match, Quentin Michaels said that his revenge was complete. Michaels, Inc now holds the GCW Heavyweight, the GCW tag team titles, and now the Columbus Heavyweight title. He then introduced the crown jewel of Michaels, Inc, the GCW Heavyweight and ½ of the GCW tag team champions, Johnny Swinger. Quentin then said that he was giving the fans a chance to gaze upon the greatest team in wrestling history. Stevens then takes the mic and tells Michaels that they aren’t a team and for him to shut up. He then tells Johnny that he is the rightful GCW champion and then demanded a title match. Swinger then attacks Stevens, and Michaels is telling Jones to join in, but at first Jones was a little hesitant. But soon it was a 3 on 1 beatdown with Johnny hitting Chris with the Shaft onto the belt. The Michaels Inc puts Stevens’ arm into a chair and with Michaels and Jones holding it, Swinger jumped onto the chair. Then out comes Chris’ former tag team partner, David Young with the save. It looked like Young might clobber Stevens with a chair himself after Michaels Inc left, but instead he helped him up. They then hugged in the ring and it looks like the best tag team in not only GCW, but in wrestling, is back together.
Match #5
GCW Heavyweight title match
Johnny Swinger © w/Quentin Michaels vs. Scotty Beach
Johnny started off with a headlock, but soon Scotty took a short cut and pulled Johnny to the mat by the hair. Beach then hits a drop toe and put Swinger in a front chancerery but Swinger counters that into a hammerlock. Later though Scotty finally gets the upper hand and starts to work on Johnny’s arm. He locked in armbars and driving his knees into the arm. Swinger hits a battering ram headbutt into the Beach’s gut and then knocked him down with a running shoulder. Scotty soon hiptossed Johnny and Johnny went to the outside. Beach tried to hit a baseball slide dropkick, but Swinger moved out of the way and pulled Beach to the outside. Johnny nearly took Scotty’s head off with a clothesline and then threw him into the ring steps. Swinger reenters the ring, and Michaels gave Beach a couple of kicks for good measure. Later, with Beach in the ring Swinger began to choke Beach and then locked in a head wrench. After a failed pinfall attempt, Bobby started to choke Scotty. As the referee was admonishing Swinger, Michaels took another cheap shot at Beach. Scotty started to fight back, hitting a clothesline, but Johnny was able to pull him into the second turnbuckle. Later Swinger puts Beach into a sleeper and it looked like Beach was about to go out. Does anyone win the sleeper hold anymore? But soon Scotty countered with a jawjacker and a short time later hits a Stinger Splash in the corner. Beach showed that he had some power as he nailed a spinning gutwrench powerbomb. But as it looked like Scotty was going to become the new champ, Johnny got himself Dqed but low blowing Scotty right in front of the referee. Winner by DQ: Scotty Beach
After the match, Swinger kept beating Beach down. He then put a belt around Scotty’s neck and hanged him over the top rope. Out come officials who finally got Scotty freed from his hanging.
