World Wrestling Entertainment has canceled and postponed several events scheduled in the Gulf Coast area due to the state of emergency caused by Hurricane Katrina.
Two shows postponed are the SmackDown! house shows in Dothan on Sept. 24 and Mobile on Sept. 25. The other shows postponed this month are those originally scheduled for the Louisiana area.
The WWE issued a statement on its Web site:
"Fans who have tickets for this event (shows that were canceled) should hold onto their tickets. All tickets for this event will be honored when the new event date is determined."
Monday Night RAW, originally scheduled for Biloxi, Miss., on Sept. 26, has been moved to Waco, Texas, while a SmackDown! television taping scheduled for New Orleans on Sept. 27, has been moved to Laredo, Texas.
